Messaging can connect the passengers, the crew, and even the Captains
Feature ideas organized by user perspective
As a customer, I want to be able to view my flight info directly in the app.
As a customer, I want to be able to let you know that I’m at the airport but just running late—so please don’t give my seat away.
As a customer, I would like to be able to see and track where my luggage is. Did it get on the plane? Is it on the correct plane?
As a preferred customer, I would like to see if rewards are being offered for people willing to give up their seat, what those rewards are, and have preferred access to the offer.
As a customer, I would like to learn about any special discounts or coupons available through the airline’s partner companies.
As a customer, I would like the app to know where I am travelling from and to, and show me features, stores, and other information about the airports I’ll be using.
As a customer, I would like the app to provide helpful information about the bathrooms nearest to my exit gate, including whether baby changing areas are nearby.
As a customer, I would like to know what’s available on this specific flight—drinks, food, treats, and other items. I’d like to make special requests (like two of something) via the app so I can keep it private and not feel embarrassed.
I don’t like pressing the overhead call light—it’s annoying, distracting, and embarrassing. As a customer, I want to call for service using my app privately and discreetly, and include a message explaining what I need so I don’t have to share it with my seatmates.
Whether it’s handling anxiety, needing headphones, hearing a worrying noise, being too cold, or needing a pillow—as a customer, I want to make requests via a private message in the app so I don’t have to say it out loud.
As a customer, I would like to share a helpful comment—about assisting a fellow passenger, flagging something the crew should be aware of, or simply sending an encouraging message—via the app.
As a customer, I wish I could know more details about my specific flight. Where are we right now? What is that outside the window? Are we on schedule? Why are we flying at a different altitude than planned? I’d love to know more about my Captain and crew.
As a customer, I would like to know more about available options. Are drinks for sale? How much do they cost? Are there additional foods to purchase? Are headphones available, and how do I pay?
As a passenger, I would like to receive a message about where to find my baggage, because the announcements are easy to miss, mishear, or forget.
As a passenger, I would like to privately ask if it’s possible to change seats—because my seatmate is problematic and I don’t want to embarrass anyone, or because I see better seats available and want to know if I can move.
As a person with special needs, I would like to privately ask for help getting to the bathroom when I lack the strength to stand in line—and do so via the app to keep it private.
As a passenger, I would like the ability to offer additional communication to another passenger if we meet and it seems like a friendship is forming.
As a passenger, I would like to use the app to make friends on the flight and share a safe bit of travel contact info.
✨ AI-Powered Features
As a passenger, I would like to use AI capabilities to capture conversations I have with seatmates and then have the AI organize the important parts—like good restaurant or sightseeing suggestions—automatically so I don’t have to write anything down.
As a passenger, I would like an AI Assistant to help me understand all the different fare options, fees, bag charges, seat restrictions, and other complexities—explained conversationally so I can ask questions and get clear answers.
As a traveller, I would like an AI Agent that monitors real-time conditions in the airports on my itinerary and helps me navigate lines in an optimum way.
As a traveller, I want an AI Assistant that helps me door-to-door. Instead of just flights, the app plans and adjusts the entire trip in real time—airport arrival timing, security wait predictions, gate distance, baggage claim time, rideshare scheduling—to minimize stress and missed connections.
As a Flight Attendant, I would like to make a private suggestion to a passenger without embarrassing them—such as offering a seatbelt extension or a pillow if they seem anxious. I wish I could message directly and privately from staff to passengers.
As a Flight Attendant, I would like a private way to warn a specific passenger that they are doing something wrong, without doing so publicly.
As a Flight Attendant, I would like a way to send a private “thank you” to passengers who go out of their way to be helpful.
As a Flight Attendant, I would like to offer a specific passenger an opportunity to change to a better seat if one is available and I think it would benefit that person.
As a Flight Attendant, I would love to be able to offer extra treats or other nice things to a passenger who is extra kind—and do so via a private message in the app.
As a Captain, I would like to communicate more information with passengers without using the intercom—using app messaging instead.
As a Captain, I would like to share interesting information I know—like how turbulence is reported, how we fly through it, and whether we expect to encounter any on this flight.
As an App Admin, I would like to define specific rules about who can communicate with each other through in-app messaging.
